Soil nail walls were designed by Caltrans to shore up multiple steepened slopes along 91 freeway in Corona California. This was done to reduce the chance of possible slope failure. The aesthetics of these soil nail walls were of high importance to Caltrans and the City of Corona. The walls needed to visually blend well with the environment around it and also be easy on the eyes for passing motorist. Our Green River Granite finish was chosen to meet these requirements. We finished a total of 49,240 square feet of Green River Granite over multiple soil nail walls. We finished the sculpted finish with a light earth blend staining scheme.
