Boulderscape Services

The architect of the I-5 section of wall in Encinitas, CA wanted to create a new wall finish that would add a visual appeal to the community. We work with the designer to come up with a finish called the “Wave” finish. 29,900 square foot of soil nail wall supporting the I-5 freeway was to receive this finish. To add additional visual interest to the “Wave” finish, corten steel was used to support various levels of the “Wave” finish to produce shadowing. The corten will also rust over time and will add rust characteristics to the wave finish.
