Several structural basins at a Plaquemines LNG facility required a structural shotcrete liner constructed to exceptionally tight dimensional tolerances. Boulderscape was selected to install the shotcrete lining across multiple basins while meeting stringent flatness and straightness requirements critical to the facility's performance.
Throughout the project, Boulderscape maintained a finished straightness tolerance of just 1/8" over 10 feet in every direction. Approximately 14,300 square feet of shotcrete lining was installed, with every surface carefully hand worked and finished to a smooth steel trowel surface to achieve the required precision and appearance.
The project consisted of a 4" thick to 6" thick structural shotcrete section over cast concrete basins using a 5,000 PSI mix design. The entire scope was completed in 15 days, delivering a highly accurate structural lining system that met the project's demanding performance and quality requirements.
