Extending route 841 from Louisville Kentucky to Ohio was underway. An area of the route 841 needed to pass under environmentally sensitive land. This type of construction was time consuming and came with a huge price tag. Economical shoring systems were being explored in order to reduce the overall cost of the project. After a year of analysis, it was determined that soil nail walls with hand-sculpted Boulderscape finishes surpassed all other options. Boulderscape was hired to install all structural reinforcement and structural/architectural shotcrete for the project. 256,000 square feet of reinforcement and 126,000 square feet of structural/architectural shotcrete was placed.
