In Virginia's New River Trail State Park, Boulderscape rehabilitated the deteriorated piers of historic Bridge 13 — restoring the railroad bridge with reinforced structural shotcrete. After surface prep, epoxy-doweled reinforcing steel, and wire mesh, the crew placed roughly 3,300 square feet of 6-inch structural shotcrete — extending the bridge's service life while preserving its historic character.

Bridge 13 carries the New River Trail on century-old piers that decades of service had worn down. Boulderscape restored them from the concrete up — pressure-washing the surfaces, epoxy-doweling new reinforcing steel into the sound concrete, and tying in wire mesh before shooting a 6-inch layer of high-strength structural shotcrete across roughly 3,300 square feet of pier face. A screed-and-broom finish leaves a durable, uniform surface built to carry the historic bridge into its next chapter.
