Along Highway 33 in Maynardville, Tennessee, Boulderscape transformed two retaining walls into natural-looking rock formations — placing more than 22,364 square feet of structural and architectural shotcrete. An 8-inch structural section carries the load beneath a 1–3 inch hand-carved Weathered Shale finish, custom-stained to match the surrounding East Tennessee rock.

CNW068 Retaining Walls 1 & 2 run along Highway 33 through the folded shale country of East Tennessee, where the goal was long-term structural performance that still looks like it belongs. Boulderscape delivered both — an 8-inch structural shotcrete system beneath a 1-to-3-inch architectural layer our artisans hand-carved into the region's signature geology. From on-site mock-ups through placement, staining, and quality control, more than 22,364 square feet of shotcrete were shaped and custom-stained until the two walls read as native ridge, not construction.
