When Cabela's needed a high-performance retaining wall system across the complex, multi-tiered terrain of its Lone Tree, Colorado location, they turned to Boulderscape — and the result was a record-breaking shotcrete installation that saved the Rampart Range Metro District over $100,000.
Cabela's needed a cost-effective, visually stunning wall system across a complex, multi-tiered site — built fast. The terrain demanded walls of varying height and length, all tied together with a single, natural-looking finish.
Boulderscape installed over 56,000 square feet of structural and architectural shotcrete in record time. The walls ranged from 10 to 36 feet tall and 250 to 720 feet long — placed with 8 inches of structural shotcrete and an additional 2 to 6 inches of architectural shotcrete, hand-carved by artisans with more than 2 million square feet of carving experience.
The Cabela's Lone Tree project stands as proof of how sculpted shotcrete delivers speed, savings, and lasting beauty on the most demanding terrain. At Boulderscape, shotcrete is not just a structural solution — it is a precision tool for solving complex civil challenges.
