A homeowner in Huntington Beach envisioned transforming the backyard into a private resort featuring natural rockwork and custom entertainment spaces for family and guests. The project included a sauna, water slide, entertainment room, wine bar, swim in grotto, multiple waterfalls, and themed architectural rockwork designed to create the appearance of a natural tropical environment.
Boulderscape combined hand sculpted shotcrete with RCP panels to construct realistic rock formations throughout the property. Every feature was individually sculpted to create a cohesive landscape that integrated the water features, entertainment areas, and architectural elements into a single immersive outdoor living space.
The project encompassed 4,282 square feet of themed construction consisting of a 12" thick structural shotcrete section with an average 18" thick architectural relief over an existing cast wall using a 4,000 PSI mix design. The entire scope was completed in just 4 weeks, delivering a custom residential environment that combined structural performance with highly detailed architectural craftsmanship.
